At HH Acoustics we don’t regard a loudspeaker as a single item. Only by understanding the requirements and limitations of each part can we design the drive units that set our systems apart. Unlike most PA and MI companies, we have a long history of designing and building our own drivers, and working closely with component suppliers to get the very best from their process and our designs. A summary of the parts that make up a speaker, and some of the critical design issues is shown here.
The HH Acoustics Division undertakes all aspect of the Research and Development involved in designing the drivers used in HH products. It is important to us that we continue to develop our existing expertise and heritage in these areas.
HH speakers are designed by our own Engineers in the UK, drawing on decades of design & manufacturing experience.
Many aspects must be considered in PA woofer design: Is it for a sub or a front-of-house cab? If front-of-house, what compression driver will it be used with? What size and type of cabinet must it suit? How many drivers will be in the cab?
The Vector range of PA cabinets all use 1” exit compression drivers for efficient and clear high frequency reproduction
